Philippine Navy drubbed Blue Guards FC, 10-0, to hand the guest team another lopsided loss in United Football Cup Tuesday night at the Emperador Stadium.
It was another blowout defeat for Blue Guards, which suffered a humiliating 17-0 beatdown at the hands of Green Archers United Globe last Saturday.
Mohamed Diallo and Friday Okoro scored two goals apiece, while five different players who nailed once each and an own goal by Blue Guards helped Navy open its Group E campaign with a victory.
In the other match, Green Archers United took the early lead in Group E after routing Dolphins United FC, 4-0.
Chieffy Caligdong, Jesse Martindale, John Melliza and Gab Olowoyeye accounted for all of the goals of Green Archers, which took the lead in its bracket with six points.
Just like Blue Guards, Dolphins United also failed to bounce back after a 16-0 blowout against the Loyola Meralco Sparks last Saturday.
