Pacific X-treme Combat (PXC) continues to grow its roster of local Filipino fighters as local MMA star Mark Striegl signed an exclusive multiple-fight deal with the promotion. Mark will be fighting in PXC 33 set on September 1 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and will be aired via satellite on AKTV on IBC 13 at 9 p.m.

Striegl is a Filipino-American who resides and trains in Baguio City. Mark is undefeated as a professional fighter and has recorded wins in various MMA tournaments across Asia which includes stops at Japan, Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines.

He will make his PXC debut against featherweight Robert “The Real Deal” Wusstig, a tough up-and-coming fighter from Guam.

Wustigg returns to the PXC via the tournament on September 1. He is looking to climb in the rankings and live up to his reputation as spoiler.

The Guamanian fighter is on a 2-fight winning streak which includes a championship victory in Trench Warz-15 against Shane Alvarez, the undefeated featherweight from Saipan. Wustigg has also fought some of Guam’s toughest MMA fighters, recording key wins against former PXC bantamweight champ Justin Cruz and scrapper Thaddeus Malbreaux.

“We are happy to give Mark an opportunity to compete at the highest level of MMA in the Philippines via PXC 33. He will definitely have a big test against Robert, who is considered as one of the best fighters in Asia. Mark will be highlighted as one of our top Filipino talents putting his undefeated record on the line on nationwide television,” PXC promoter & CEO EJ Calvo said.

PXC 33 will be broadcasted on AKTV on IBC 13, the premier free-to-air sports channel of the Philippines. The event will also feature PXC’s much anticipated lightweight title fight between Jon Tuck and Harris Sarmiento in the main event along with a fight card showcasing the best fighters in the Asia-Pacific region and the best MMA action in the Philippines.
