VIDEO | Ian Araneta, Aly Borromeo, Chieffy Caligdong star in new SMB commercial
You know that football has really made it big when one of the latest San Miguel Beer commercials stars members of the Azkals.
Ian Araneta, Aly Borromeo, and Chieffy Caligdong join an illustrious list of athletes who have endorsed the beer, which include pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, the late, great Gabriel “Flash” Elorde, “The Magician” Efren “Bata” Reyes, and legendary Beermen teams of years past: from the late ’80s heyday (led by Hector Calma, Ramon Fernandez, et. al.) to the San Miguel resurgence of the late ’90s/early 2000s (featuring the two Dannys and Olsen Racela, among others).
It’s a bit short, but we appreciate the Azkals’ acting chops. We couldn’t help but be disappointed that they didn’t star in a remake of the classic “Si Neneng, anak ni Mang Teban…” commercial though.
