VIDEO | NCAA on AKTV’s Mara Aquino works on her pronunciations

NCAA on AKTV’s courtside reporter Mara Aquino has won many fans of the country’s oldest collegiate league with her bubbly personality.

The Filipino-Canadian, who grew up in Toronto, speaks with a noticeable twang, but she is getting better at her Tagalog and her pronunciations.

How does she do it? She works on hard to pronounce names, like that of San Beda guard Baser Amer.

The funniest part of this video, though? Mara was getting pronunciation lessons from Aaron Atayde, who won the Iskul Bulol award in the first AKTV Center awards last week.
