Warriors destroy Beermen in Indonesia, force ABL finals rubber match

Evan Brock played a monster game with 26 points and 16 rebounds, and the Indonesia Warriors defended their homecourt with ease, defeating the San Miguel Beermen 81-61 in Game Two of the ASEAN Basketball League finals to tie the best-of-three series at 1-all.

Back-to-back three-pointers to end the second period pushed Indonesia’s halftime lead to nine points, 42-33.

A balanced attack allowed the Warriors to put the game away in the third quarter. Brock and fellow import Steven Thomas, who had 12 points and 10 rebounds, combined for 13 points in the period.

Filipino-American guard Stanley Pringle added 13 points.

Import Duke Crews led the fight for the Beermen with 16 points, while Leo Avenido had 13. Brock completely outplayed his Beermen counterpart Nick Fazekas, who was held to just 10 points.
