Jayjay Helterbrand retires after 17-year PBA career

Barangay Ginebra star Jayjay Helterbrand has decided to retire after an illustrious 17-year career in the PBA.

Helterbrand, 41, ended his pro career on a high note, winning a championship with the Gin Kings in the recently concluded Governors’ Cup.

The other half of the “Fast and Furious” tandem alongside Mark Caguioa, Jayjay Helterbrand spent his entire playing years with Ginebra where he won six titles.

A seven-time PBA All-Star, the 5’11” guard was named MVP in 2009. He also served the national team in the 2000s.
