Entertainers who have performed at one time or another at Resorts World Manila have tweeted messages of support in the aftermath of Friday’s armed robbery incident that sparked a fire at the casino-hotel-mall complex.

Tony award-winning musical theater actress Lea Salonga tweeted a message of solidarity and hope hours after the tragic incident. Lea is a frequent headliner of Resorts World Manila concerts at the Newport Performing Arts Theater and a judge on the talent search series “The Voice of the Philippines” which is broadcast live from the venue.

The Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap, who was a former “The Voice” judge, posted this pinned tweet on his Twitter page.

Another acclaimed musical theater performer, Joanna Ampil, who headlined “South Pacific in Concert” at RWM in 2015 shared her sentiments in a message posted on Twitter and Instagram.

To my @resortsworldmanila family, I am deeply sorry. Thinking of you all. #rwmanila #resortsworldattack

Tanya Manalang, who topbilled “Curtains Up!” last year and “Platinum: World’s Hit Songs Live!” early this year, commiserated with the families of those who perished in the fire.

The same sentiment was expressed in his tweet by singer-actor Mark Bautista, who played the male lead in Resorts World Manila’s production of “Bituing Walang Ningning.”

Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha was also horrified by the incident and expressed her condolences.
