Spouses of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) leaders toured the National Museum of the Philippines led by President Rodrigo Duterte’s common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña on Saturday morning, April 29.

Reportedly joining the tour were Indonesian first lady Iriana Widodo, Naly Sisoulith of Laos, Naraporn Chan-o-cha of Thailand, and Tran Nguyet Thu of Vietnam, who were seen to have taken a photograph with the famed painting of Juan Luna housed in the museum, the Spolarium.

Also joining the women at the tour were spouses of ASEAN ministers and ambassadors.

It was reported that the museum tour included cultural performances from the Kalilayan Folkloric Group and the Pangkat Kawayan or The Singing Bamboo of the Philippines; as well as weaving demonstrations by women from Palawan and T’boli showing basket making and t’nalak textile respectively.

The spouses also had a luncheon, which reportedly composed of pistachio-coated goat cheese, essence of forest mushroom and truffle, slow roasted angus beef tenderloin in sweet soy glaze, mango basil sorbet, and ube sans rival brazo de mercedes.
