Finding the perfect pair of shoes for each member of the Filipino family in one shop has been made possible by Simply Shoes, an affiliate of SM Retail. Envisioned as a “family shoe store in local communities,” Simply Shoes aims to expand to 100 branches to be located in different parts of the country.

SM’s senior vice president for shoes and bags, Eugene Saw shared, “We’re bringing a piece of SM to the local communities.

“I think we have a strong collection of in-house brands. It is really extending ourselves to go near the customers instead of having the customers go to us.”

According to Saw, Simply Shoes’ collections are easy on the wallet, fashionable, trendy, and offers a wide variety of brand choices whether for the mom, dad, teens, or kids—making it a perfect one stop shop shoe store for the family.

It features SM’s in-house brands including Parisian, Milanos, Salvatore Mann, Sugar Kids, and Tough Kids. Global brands like Chicco, Skechers, and Vans are also available, as well as local brands like Islander, World Balance, and Hawk.

From its first branch in Waltermart Tanauan, Batangas in 2014, Simply Shoes has now 27 branches across the country—from Savemore La Trinidad, Benguet in the north to Citymall Tagum in Davao del Norte in the south.

For their target areas for expansion, Saw shared, “We’re in close partnership with city malls like Waltermart in areas like Sorsogon; we have stores lined up next year in Ormoc so it’s really the hard to reach areas where customers have to really travel for hours just to go to a nearest SM Store.

“Expect more Simply Shoes store to open in the next few weeks; we’re opening 15 more new stores. For the year, we’re targeting about 45 stores,” Saw said.

Along with the announcement of its expansion, Simply Shoes also unveiled its new brand ambassadors: actress Christine Reyes-Khatibi together with her husband mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi, and their daughter Amarah.

Christine noted, “The important thing here is its value for money, and its for everyone. It’s really a one stop shop.”

Saw on the other hand said that since their brand carries all types of shoes from dads, to moms, to kids, they think that the Simply shoes brand have the right representation in their family.

“We looked around. We wanted a young and fashionable family, and they very well fit that profile,” Saw added.

Simply Shoes also highlights the affordability of their products. In fact, the brand is offering deals that are available the whole year round like their two pairs of shoes for only Php 499.75. Other promos for families are also set to be launched soon.
