Sleep plays a vital role in keeping one’s self healthy and in being energized enough to face daily responsibilities. However, some find it difficult to fall into deep slumber because of the lack of comfort their mattresses provide.
Whether you want the luxurious feel of a five-star hotel bed or a mattress that addresses the special needs of your spine, Sealy mattress aims to bring a good night’s sleep to its users.
Now available in the Philippine market through Focus Global Inc. (FGI), Sealy, an American mattress brand, has more than 130 years of spring mattress-making history and is known for its PostureTech® Titanium Coil, a patented technology that “provides superior comfort, support, and correct spinal alignment” developed with the aid of Orthopaedic Advisory Board—a group of orthopaedic surgeons and sleep experts.
At the recent launch of Sealy’s first Philippine store located on the fifth floor of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, the spring mattress brand presented its Premier, Advance, and Prestige collections.
Besides the product’s trademark titanium coil technology, it also consists of a fabric with anti-bacterial and moisture-removing properties. All mattresses have a warranty of about 10 years, according to Dennis Tan, Sealy Asia’s regional manager.
In the Philippines, FGI exclusively sells and markets Tempur memory foam mattresses.
In 2013, Tempur-Pedic completed its acquisition of Sealy Corporation. That same year, the former also changed its company name to Tempur Sealy International, Inc., which further strengthened the company’s brand portfolio featuring two of the most iconic brands in the world.
Sealy’s entry in the local market continues to be in line with FGI’s prestige as a distributor of over 20 global luxury brands. According to Stephen Sy, FGI’s president said, “Focus Global only takes on the top brands, and we have been representing Tempur for the longest time. Tempur is the original in foam mattress but if you are talking of spring (mattress), Sealy is the best you can find. It is being used by top hotels.”
Among these hotels, Sy noted, are Fairmont, Crowne Plaza, Raffles, and Ritz Carlton, to name a few.
