Let the ‘pho’ begin as Cebu’s Phat Pho opens its Manila outpost at Bonifacio Global City’s Serendra tonight, Wednesday, February 12 at 6pm.
The Moment Group, undeniably one of the country’s leading restaurant group, responsible for opening, such unique and concept driven restaurants like ‘Cue, Burger Bar, 8 Cuts and NamNam to Manila’s foodie scene, now brings to Bonifacio Global City one of Cebu’s most exciting new restaurant concept, the Abaca Group’s Vietnamese Kitchen called Phat Pho.
Jason Hyatt, is the man behind Cebu’s well-respected Abaca Group and also the one responsible in creating the Phat Pho concept which he described simply as a modern street style noodle shop with an easy, fast and clean, counter style quick service, a concept that caused quite a stir when it opened barely a year ago in Cebu.
This is the first restaurant collaboration project between The Moment Group with the equally successful Abaca Group of Cebu whose impressive line-up of restaurants include Maya (Mexican), Tavolata (Italian), a new Lebanese restaurant called Bequaa, and the Abaca Boutique Resort + Restaurant.
According to Jason Hyatt, the counter style quick service is an essential part of Phat Pho’s casual and welcoming vibe and is evident in its modern semi-retro interiors. The Moment Groups Abba Napa shared that, it was the combination of Phat Pho’s enjoyable vibe and flavorful dishes that led her resto group to venture in this collaboration.
Chow Buzz’s early recommendations include its crispy egg rolls (filled with pork, shrimp, noodles and wood ear mushrooms), its homemade fish cake that comes with sweet chilli dipping sauce, and the Pho Special (classic Vietnamese beef soup with US Angus beef, braised beef, and tendon.
Phat Pho Manila is a Moment Group venture, and an Abaca Group concept.
