It’s been an interesting year for makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts. Technology now makes our favorite skin care products and makeup easier to use. Pigmentation and longevity are given, whether you’re talking about a primer or a lipstick. Face creams are no longer just hydrators. They also help fade marks, fill in lines and make your skin seem plumper (a good thing if you are 30 years old and above).
From foundations to eyeliner to face serums, we’ve never had it so good.
Here, we talk about what rocked our beauty world in 2016.

Ronna: Happy Skin matte lippies were not introduced this year but I came to appreciate them better. I tested its moisturizing quality during the cold drying winter and my lips were completely hydrated. Also loved the smaller-sized Happy Skin x Love Marie that I kept in my pocket for easy retouches. Also Kylie Lip Kits for liquid lipstick.
Dinna: MAC lipsticks will always be my go to. But 2016 was the year I discovered high end brands like Charlotte Tilbury (favorites include Red Carpet Ready and Hel’s Bells), Rouge Dior (Ambitious Matte #964) and Burberry (Damson #425). Another game changer is La Mer Lip Balm because it is a matte lip balm, if that is possible at all.
Ronna: Contour overkill
Dinna: Eyebrows that look like caterpillars.
