Clara Magalona is her own singer, doing a cover of Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper while holding a Goody hairbrush in hand. This does not come as a surprise since she comes from a family of performers and personalities. The most famous was her late father, Master Rapper Francis M. Now, it’s Clara’s turn in the spotlight as she becomes the newest Goody Girl style ambassador. Even this early, at the age of 11 years old, she is open to the possibility of joining her siblings in show business. “I was so excited I danced,” exclaimed the giddy tween upon learning she was to become the brand’s public image. She shares that it was her mom, Pia, who got her and her sisters hooked on the Goody hair styling products. “We would share ponytails and brushes,” gushed Clara.

According to Jenna Sy, marketing specialist of Goody Philippines (the LJS Group of Companies), “We spotlight on girls with energy, spontaneity, elegance, inner beauty and outward confidence.”  Clara, she emphasized, “has set a stand-out following in the beauty and fashion scene by simply being her natural self—bubbly, energetic and spontaneous not only in the limelight but even behind the scenes. She knows so much more than kids her age and through various digital media such as her personal blog, Facebook and Twitter site, she has amazingly been able to create a huge fan-base online even at a very young age.”

International brand Goody offers a wide array of hair products that is well-known for their high quality and fashionability. Its famous Ouchless line has a loyal following which the company continually improves; upgrading its classic designs through innovation and modern technology. “Come play with Goody”, is the company slogan where users are called on to experiment with different hairstyles using the brand’s colorful products to find the best one that would suit their style.
Now that school is about to begin, Clara swears by the barrettes and clips from the Goody Girl line for no-fuss free days. “It’s easy to put on and it doesn’t hurt even after hours of wearing it,” she claims. During the product launch where she was announced as the junior beauty expert of the brand, Clara becomes her own style star in a pink floral top paired with gray sneakers. “I express myself through fashion,” she says “but it’s also important to be yourself.”
Today’s teens can easily get lost in the sea of forever changing trends. However, fashion is meant to be fun and should not be taken all too seriously. Dare to be different, try different looks or have fun changing your hairstyles but at the end of the day one must remember to stay true to oneself and be one’s own original.
