The country’s premier state university celebrates Pride Month this year through its University Student Council and LGBT student organization UP Babaylan, which are co-organizing Pride Week from June 25 to 28. With the loud and clear message of “Live Free! You’re safe i UP,” the series of activities include an open to the public Pride March on June 27, Thursday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. around the Academic Oval and Pride Run by the UP Mountaineers at 6 p.m. On June 28, Friday, Project Genderway, dubbed as an LGBT fashion show will feature Renan Pacson and Mara Chua, both Mega Young Designers Competition Winners and UP Babaylan Alumni. The show will be staged at the AS Lobby at 7 p.m. Pride Month is celebrated yearly in the campus through the efforts of UP Babaylan.
