Merry mix of circus acts, glam fashion at SM Megamall’s ‘Sky of Snow’ show

‘Tis the season of dressing up and looking one’s best as holiday parties and shows will soon be taking place. At SM Mega Fashion Hall in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, the cheery spirit and the magical tone of the Christmas season was heard—and seen—loud and clear as one of the country’s biggest smalls staged an impressive treat to shoppers on Friday night, November 4.

To presents its traditional fashion-themed holiday centerpiece, a free show aptly titled, “Sky of Snow: A Christmas Circus Show” featuring internationally trained circus artists.

After lighting a 30-foot gold and glowing Christmas tree at the Event Hall, SM Supermalls officers led by its president Annie Garcia and SVP Jonjon San Agustin, with Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, more visual treats were in store for mallgoers as the 30-minute “Sky of Snow” circus show began.

International cirque du soleil performers by the Aurora Borealis Productions presented an original performance that kept the audience in awe as acrobats in full costumes did mind-boggling balancing acts, twirling, spinning, and trapeze acts.

Kids were especially delighted by the Lady in Red aerial act, the mascot Mr. Snow Bear, the Balloon Boy Fairy performing the Cyr wheel act, Mean Cats by the Wild Sports Acrobats, and parade of costumes.

A certified family-friendly visual spectacle, mall goers can still catch this amazing show this weekend, November 5 and 6 with 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows. Shoppers who present a single receipt of Php3,000 can meet and greet—of course, have snapshots with—the circus artists after the show.

Haute tree
If last year’s tree charmed Mega Fashion Hall habitues with its tiffany blue and silver palette featuring presents every style-conscious lady would love, this year’s tree has more razzle dazzle with its pure gold color featuring nine gold mannequins wearing creations by nine of the country’s top fashion designers: Ivar Aseron, Rhett Eala, Jun Escario, Rajo Laurel, Francis Libiran, Dennis Lustico, Yvette and Choc Religioso, Joey Samson, and Cary Santiago.

The magical show “Sky of Snow: A Christmas Circus Show” is just the start of many exciting events at the Mega Fashion Hall that are especially geared for those who want shine and look good this season.
