A sea of pink, overflowing sweets, and beautiful ladies was the scene at Benefit Cosmetics’s first anniversary party held at its Greenbelt 5 boutique last December 15. Just before the holiday rush, media and guests came to celebrate the first year of the San Francisco-born beauty brand in the Philippines at its very first location. To localize Benefit’s iconic products, the brand presented remakes of its most famous characters by our very own celebrities and personalities.
Standees and posters of the POREfessional primer, They’re Real mascara, Bathina body balm, Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! foundation, and the latest release, Fine One One cheek and lip color, remade by Maggie Wilson-Consunji, Phoemela Barranda, Bianca Valerio, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Cristine Reyes respectively, decorated the boutique. Phoemela, Maggie, and Bianca, who was also the event’s host, were at the event and shared that they were thrilled to have been invited to pose as local versions of Benefit’s famous babes.
Fine One One
South East Regional Trainer Tiffany Chen, dubbed as the day’s Professor of Pretty, also demonstrated how to use Benefit’s Fine One One sheer brightening color for cheeks and lips. The tube-type product carries color and highlighter in one and is divided into three sections: soft coral, sheer watermelon, and pink champagne (highlighter) and it has a cream-to-powder finish.
For instant cheek flush you can easily keep in your bag, swipe Fine One One on your cheeks following your cheekbone, with the highlighter on the top or closest to your eyes “to instantly lift and shape your cheeks”, said Chen. Blend with your fingertips. If you want more color, just go over your cheeks again or layer it with any of Benefit’s cheek tints underneath.
Fine One One can also be used on the lips. Just apply the coral and watermelon shades like you would you lipstick. If you want poutier lips, put some of the pink champagne at the center of your lips. Playing on the the famous emergency number 911, Fine One One should serve as your savior product throughout a busy day. You can easily stash it in your bag and bring it out to freshen up your makeup in a few seconds.
