Sweet Patti Grandidge comes true to ForMe

She’s a TV host, model, and in a sea of billboards already occupied by Anne, Solenn, Georgina, and Isabel, what sets her apart is that she has a popular food blog and bakes gorgeous cupcakes. Filipino-British Patti Grandidge of Sweet Patti Cakes just merged the foodie and fashion worlds into one as she joins clothing brand ForMe as its newest brand ambassador.

She’s as real as a working girl could get, which is exactly what Forme stands for—clothes that celebrate the uniqueness of women, in whatever form or shape they’re in. Just don’t mind her slim hips—“Aw, it’s all about balance,” an almost apologetic but still smiling Patti says at Forme’s recent launch of its newest fashion collection.

She says she does lead an active lifestyle, engaging in sports activities if she can, to ward off the calories in her rich cupcakes—mmm, Nanatella, Ooey Gooey Peanut Butter, and Lemon Colada, anyone?—that she personally bakes and markets online.

It wasn’t difficult getting her to agree to the stint. Patti has appeared in other Golden ABC, Inc. photo shoots. Patti shares with InterAksyon, “I feel honored to be part of its female apparel brand. I’m very familiar with the clothes and like the idea that it lets women look stylish from daytime to evening, or from weekday to weekend, and that it could fit whatever lifestyle you lead.

“I do hope to inspire and connect with other women to be their best selves, perhaps starting from the way they want to feel and look. “

Golden ABC, Inc. has been around since 1986 and was established in Cebu. The company is recognized as a trailblazer in the Philippine retail industry, reaping awards for its successful brands such as Penshoppe, Oxygen, Memo, Regatta, and Tyler.

Patti was also joined by fashion models who showed off the Charme Français collection—Forme’s latest clothes inspired by the romantic and stylish city of Paris. The clothes feature vintage-inspired details such as draping, pleating, dolman sleeves, flat collars, and color blocking. Dainty prints and lace accents add a bit of quirkiness to otherwise very feminine pieces.

And as ForMe aims to cater to all body silhouettes, the collection offers classic and universally figure-flattering shift dresses and pencil skirts. This season’s color palette includes neutral colors like nude, black, and grey. Fabrics in the form of tops are lightweight while pants come in stretchy material—great for traveling.

The mini-fashion show at the launch also showed that accessorizing, especially with elaborate neckpieces, lets a woman switch her look just the way she wants it—laidback chic, formal with an edginess, or sexy-sporty. It showed the versatility of ForMe’s clothes.

VP for Brand Management Alice Liu told InterAksyon, “To us, Patti represents the ForMe woman. She’s modern, independent, and she has such a wholesome personality that women can easily relate with. She is able to balance her work and personal life while keeping her stylishness and having fun.”

Unlike other collections in retail stores that are presented all at once, Miss Liu adds that more fresh designs from the Charme Français collection will be delivered in stores monthly for shoppers to enjoy. To view ForMe’s new arrivals, visit.
