Father’s Day is tomorrow, June 17, and if still have no idea what to get him other than a tie, here are some ideas:

Watch a French Film. If your dad is the total film buff then head on over to Shangri-la Plaza as the mall is once again hosting the Citi-Rustan’s French Film Festival.  Some of the flicks showing are Clean, Roses on Credit, Deep in the Woods, and The Three-way Wedding. Here’s the catch, it’s all for free. All you have to pay for would be popcorn and drinks. The French Film Fest will run until June 17 in Shang-ri La Plaza.

Buy him a DVD. If Dad is not that artsy and would rather enjoy a good action movie, then better to relax at home with his favorite films.  Give him a DVD (or two) of the latest thrillers such as Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows (released by Magnavision), which stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

Let Dad relax and watch a movie in the comforts of your home.

Let him curl up with a good book. Boost his business and financial IQ with the newest reads from National Bookstore such as Passion and Purpose: Stories from the Best and Brightest Young Business Leaders by John Coleman, Daniel Gulati, W. O. Segovia ( Filipino ), Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives Apple’s Success by Ken Segall, How Will You Measure Your Life? by Clayton M. Christensen, James Allworth, and Essential Manners for Men 2nd Edition: What to Do, When to Do It, and Why by Peter Post. Give him an inspiring guide to leadership from one of Time Magazine’s influential people, Stephen Covey:  The 4 Disciplines of Execution,  The 3rd Alternative or Smart Trust :Creating Prosperity, Energy, and Joy in a Low-Trust World. Available at National Bookstore.

Give him an inspiring book to read and to follow good words to live by.

Gift him with a new scent. Let him spritz on a little self confidence as you arm your dad with a new scent.  Give him a good alternative to the classic scents musky and aquatic with Gendarme 20 and La Vainquer. Available in Rustan’s Department Stores

Dad would surely love a brand new shaving cream or even a pre-shave solution.  Make sure to include products for your pop’s crowning glory such as John Allan’s hair styling paste and John Allen’s weightless volumizing gel.Available at Rustan’s Department Store.
