NLEX is enjoying its first winning run this season, but the team isn’t done tinkering its lineup.

On Tuesday, the Road Warriors engineered another trade, acquiring the services of Cyrus Baguio from the Phoenix Fuel Masters in a three-team transaction that also involved GlobalPort Batang Pier.

NLEX gave up Mac Baracael to the Batang Pier who then sent Dylan Ababou to Phoenix. The Fuel Masters also got NLEX’s 2020 second round pick.

NLEX team executive Ronald Dulatre confirmed the trade to InterAksyon.

“We’ve already sent the papers to the PBA for Commissioner (Chito) Narvasa’s approval,” he said.

With the trade, Baguio is now reunited with NLEX coach Yeng Guiao, his former mentor at the now-defunct Red Bull.

Phoenix was able to unload Baguio after acquiring Jeff Chan from Rain or Shine last week.

The deal was the latest of NLEX’s moves. The squad earlier landed veterans JR Quinahan and Larry Fonacier in trades that helped the team improve in the ongoing PBA Governors’ Cup where the Road Warriors enjoy a 5-1 slate.
