PBA legend Olsen Racela nabbed his first victory as a UAAP coach after steering the FEU Tamaraws to a 90-83 win over the UE Red Warriors on Wednesday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

The nine-time PBA champion, who had coaching stints at San Miguel, Star and Ginebra, last year took over from brother Nash who is now handling TNT KaTropa.

Racela had a rough start to his UAAP coaching career as his Tamaraws fell to defending champions La Salle, 95-90, last Sunday. In that game, FEU trailed by as many as 23 points.

Against UE, five FEU players finished with at least 10 points led by Ron Dennison who had 16 points and Prince Orizu who tallied a double-double of 15 points and 16 boards.
