A couple caught the attention of social media users when they held their prenuptial pictorial on the streets of Araneta Center, Cubao.

Bjorn and Cat, who were both assisted by ExtremeDetails Photography and Grace del Rosario, posed in their formal wedding attire in familiar spots for commuters.

These included the MMDA footbridge in EDSA Cubao, a jeepney terminal, a sidewalk, in front of a flower shop along the streets, in a pedestrian crossing and even near an ongoing construction site.

Edu Cortez and Mherl Angelie Cortez were the ones responsible for taking the shots, which were revealed to be “impromptu.”

“Puro impromptu po lahat ng shots, lakad lakad lang,” the photography studio said to Interaksyon in an online interview.

According a report, the couple chose Cubao for their venue since it is a very “memorable” place for them because both of them live near the area.

Del Rosario, their hair and makeup stylist, also said in a comment to a social media user’s remark that it was the “artistic preference” of the couple to pose in a completely urban setting with their formal attire.

“Artistic preference ng couple po ang tawag jan [sic] para lumitaw sila,” she wrote.

As expected, many people shared their reactions through the comments section of the post.

“Super ganda! Amazing. Never seen Farmers Cubao that beautiful! Hahaha,” user Jean Santiago Laguna said.

“Ganda, the best at makatotohanang prenup na nakita ko…,” user MJ De Silva Nagnag said.

“Ang galing ng concept! Di mo kailangan pumunta sa sosyal na lugar for a prenup pictorial. Very relatable and realistic. Nice!!!” user Ivangirl Kaye Zuela added.

On prenup pictorials

Prenup pictorials are usually held in luxurious places. As stated by a lifestyle and culture-oriented website, on-location prenup shots have become “the latest trend in wedding photography.”

Some of the most usual places are hotels and resorts. Others opt to go out of the country, such as celebrities.

A prenup pictorial is a way of the couple to commemorate their wedding as well as “imprint their flair” on the photos that would be seen by their family and friends in the future.

“These days, more couples arrange for a prenuptial shoot that is creative and unique and representative of their style and personalities,” a Singapore-based wedding website noted.

One of the ways in which couples spruce up their pictorial is to shoot it in unusual places since it significantly defines the theme of the pictorial itself. Others go the extra mile and wear atypical attires as well.

Couples Angelo and Angela, for instance, held their prenup pictorial in the bustling streets of Binondo in casual clothing.
