Afternoon rains failed to prevent Bedans from joining the ceremony in honor of Marc Andrei Marcos, Marvin Reglos, and other victims of frat-related violence.
At around 5 pm on Friday, students arrived by sections, by college, and by school organization.
They entered the gymnasium wearing purple armbands as others handed flowers and candles.
Some male students wrapped armbands around their foreheads and put up posters of peace slogans. They read: “God Loves you," and "Violence is not brotherhood.”
Each group was represented in the short program, “We are one Bedan community and we condemn violence.”
After student council president Mary Grace Hicban delivered a speech, the audience lit candles.
The crowd of around two thousand then raised their candles and white roses and prayed for victims of frat-related violence, including Marc Andrei Marcos, from the College of Law.
