METamorphosis, the restoration and support group for the Manila Metropolitan Theater on Facebook, recently revealed the envisioned exterior and interior designs in a series of video posts on their page.

The first video shows how the Main Theater will look like, while the second video shows the interior design treatment for the Grand Ballroom.

A third video shows the facade of the Met painted in white, which further highlights the colorful stained glass windows at the main entrance.

Manila Metropolitan Theater is currently undergoing restoration spearheaded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Dubbed as the “Grand Old Dame of Manila” and an iconic art deco masterpiece by Architect Juan Arellano, the structure houses works by notable artists including Italian sculptor Francesco Riccardo Monti, who made the sculptures on the building’s facade; as well as sculptor Isabelo Tampinco who did the lobby walls and interior surfaces.
