MANILA, Philippines — After repeated denials, internet sensation Xander Ford, formerly known as Marlou Arizala of the group Hasht5, finally admitted that he is the one on the viral video bashing teen star Kathryn Bernardo for being bow-legged.
In an interview with TV5’s MJ Marfori, Ford said he was sorry for what he did and for not admitting early on that he was the voice behind the footage, which he said was shot about two years ago and recently uploaded on social media by his unnamed friend without his permission.
“Gusto ko pong i-clarify na…inaamin ko po na ‘yon, nagkamali po ako. Hindi ko po agad naamin,” Ford said.
He said he did not immediately confess about his mistake because he feared of what Bernardo and other people might say against him.
“Ang totoo po n’yan, napangunahan po kasi ako ng kaba, ng takot, na kapag inamin ko o sinabi ko sa ibang tao, huhusgahan naman po nila ako, ija-judge po nila uli ako. Natatakot po ako na husgahan po nila uli,” Ford said.
“Ate Kath, gustong gusto ko to say sorry personally, hindi ko lang po magawa. Natatakot po kasi ako na…ayoko lang po na mahusgahan ninyo ako na iba po ‘yong masabi n’yo sa ‘kin,” he added.
In the video, Ford is heard saying that he is promoting La Luna Sangre and that he wants to reveal that the wolf in the horror-fantasy-drama television series being played by Bernardo is bow-legged.
“Pino-promote ko po pala ‘yong palabas po naming, ano, La Luna Sangre. Ahh…gusto ko lang po sa inyo…ahh, ano…spoiler po talaga ako. Uhm, gusto ko lang po sa inyo ibunyag na…’yong lobo pong ginaganapan ni Kathryn Bernardo po, sakang po ‘yon.”
Also, in the same video, Ford is heard saying that those who want Bernardo to become the top FHM model should stop hoping.
“Kaya po sa mga naniniwala na gusto maging…Kaya po sa mga naniniwala na gusto maging number one FHM model si… Kathryn Bernardo, ‘wag na po kayong umasa, never pa akong nakakita ng ano…sexy na…kung nakita n’yo lang po ‘yong daliri sa paa ni…”

Ford said he was expecting that more videos about his personal life and of him bashing other celebrities that were recorded when he was still Marlou would soon be uploaded on social media by his critics.
The videos are worse than the footage of him bashing Bernardo, according to Ford. And if those come out, he said he would surely become very depressed.
“Meron pang mga personal na…’yong pagkatao ko na lalabas sa social media…Ito po pag lumabas po ‘yong iba ko pa po, mas matindi po, ako po talaga ‘yon,” Ford said.
“Mas ‘yon po, sigurado ko, maging sobrang depressed po ako no’n, parang hindi ko na po talaga kakayanin,” he added.
Ford said before the videos come out, he wanted to apologize to those he had insulted in the recordings.
“Gusto ko lang po sa kanilang sabihin na bago pa po lumabas ‘yon, nagso-sorry na po ako ngayon palang po, patawarin n’yo po ako. Hindi ko po gustong gawin ‘yon pero nagawa ko po s’ya dati dahil hindi ko naman opo alam na ganito po mangyayari sa ‘kin.”
The recordings include video blogs about what he finds beautiful and ugly about Nadine Lustre and Liza Soberano, according to Ford.
“Ano pong ‘yong maganda at di maganda sa kanya…kung ano lang po ‘yong nakikita namin…Video-blog lang po, pero hindi naman s’ya nailabas…” Ford said.
Asked if he had regretted what he did, Ford said, “Opo, kaya nga po sinabi ko po na Marlou is dead eh kasi po nagsisisi na po ako.”
