A parody Facebook page called “Ang Malayang Pilipino” shared an album of altered images of public figures.
The album titled “Alternate Philippines” showed how these personalities will appear in their male and female versions. Each post also includes an altered name for the person.
“Warning: you can’t unsee. Proceed at your own risk,” its caption read.
As of writing, it contained 71 photos of people who are politicians from both sides of the political fence, reporters and candidates for the upcoming elections.
Each post shows the photo of the person with his or her name and juxtaposed it to the “alternate” version with a new witty name.
The only one with double posting is former President Benigno Aquino III.
Other popular posts include President Rodrigo Duterte (Rodriga Duterte) and his children Sara (Saro), Paolo (Paola) and Baste (Si Bash Yan), his former aid Bong Go (Bong Ga), Senate President Vicente Sotto III (Tita Sotto), Mar Roxas (Marimar), Jose Mari Chan (Jomari Chan), Mike Enriquez (Mikee Enriquez) and Larry Gadon (Laura Gadon).
Many people in the comments section wrote similarities of the manipulated versions to their relatives.
People observed that Bongbong Marcos’s female version looks similar to his sister Irene, while that of actor Robin Padilla resembles his daughter Kylie.
Others praised how technically accurate the edited versions are.
